Who is Sulci? :
Sulci’s story start from some pairs of Raffia and crochet hook in small village Carcar in Cebu as community project by Japanese designer Satomi Sekiya.
Satomi visited Philippines and saw many people especially single moms are trying to find jobs but it’s really hard for them.
So she was starting to teach them how to crochet and create products using local material “Raffia”.
The big reason is crochet doesn’t require expensive tools, equipment also space. Just Raffia and crochet hook and they can work for it any place.
And value is all depend on their quality and designs. As a result It makes them motivate to make quality products to earn higher.
